Welcome. The main purpose of this site is to share information about death midwifery, the art of being present with a person who is dying and her family, providing practical, emotional and spiritual support. There are those of us who are also nurses, medically trained and experienced as well.

My hope is that this site will be beneficial for people looking for information regarding the dying process and being with someone as they die. Also, I hope it will be a place where midwives and doulas to the dying will visit and contribute their experiences. I have started a national registry here so that we will find each and be a place where people can find us!
